Ice Cream Man Robbed at Gunpoint

Hartford Police are looking for the man who robbed an ice cream vendor at the Mary Shepard Place public housing complex Tuesday afternoon. Shortly before 3:00 p.m., police say the suspect approached the vendor and asked for two ice creams and as they were being prepared, produced a gun and demanded all of the vendor’s belongings.

The suspect fled with credit cards, a small amount of cash, and a vendor’s identification.

The victim describes the suspect to police as a black male, between the ages of 20 and 30, 5’8″ tall, 140 pounds, with short black hair and a bushy beard on his chin.
