Six, Including Victim, Arrested after Home Invasion Call
State Police say they arrested five people as they investigated a reported home invasion in Woodbury, and subsequently arrested the man who reported the break-in for possession of marijuana.
Police say 23-year-old Kenneth Munson reported three men armed with a knife had kicked in his apartment door, choked him and left with items they had taken from the apartment, before returning to retrieve the car keys dropped in the struggle.
Police say they traced the registered owner of the vehicle to the Schaghticoke Reservation, where they found a group of men in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
18-year-old William Lester of Kent and 23-year-old Louis Smith of Wingdale, New York were charged with a variety of crimes, including conspiracy, home invasion, and drug charges. Three other men, 18-year old Michael Rost of Kent, and 19-year-old Kenneth Ciralli and 19-year-old Dwayne Robbins, both of Wingdale, New York all were called with marijuana possession.
Police say during the investigation they found that three pounds of marijuana had been taken, and charged Munson as well.
